NaNoReNo 2017 – Are You Ready?
Aya Sakata writes in~
The annual tradition (of NaNoReNo) starts soon, and the more people who participate, the better! The official itch.io game jam page is here. Joining the jam isn’t a requirement, but it’s a pretty great way to get noticed and/or find other people who have signed up.
What Is It?
“NaNoRenO is a month-long game jam in which developers are challenged to make a visual novel from start to finish. It was originally inspired by the more famous NaNoWriMo (National Novelist Writer’s Month, which takes place in November). There’s no restrictions on content or genre. See a list of previously released NaNoRenO games here!” – Excerpt from Jam Page
Jam-Packed with Creativity!
Every NaNoReNo event I’ve followed has been festive and so full of activity that it never fails to amaze me. The sheer creativity as programmers, writers, artists, and musicians get together to make a visual novel leads to some pretty amazing stuff. Last year there were 84 entries (give or take, am bad at counting). That number seems to multiple every year, so I can wait to see how many entries we get this year!
On Your Mark, Get Set, Dev!
Good luck to all participants! Be sure and share your creations with EvnTide so we can share and promote it here as well! We’ll be looking into adding useful guides for getting your game done in 30 days throughout the month of March!
